I did a lot of research on these recently as I was interested in buying one. Everything I read said that they really weren't much better than a room sized electric heater. I have found that electric heaters are very expensive to run. Mine averaged about $100 per month per heater. I wasn't even running them all the time (just when I was home and in the rooms). I wouldn't waste my money on buying one.

I have an Eden Pure GEN3 1000 (which is the big one) and the unit doesn't use much electricity at all. When it's in 'full power mode' it only uses 12 KWP but it also has an 'ENERGY SAVES MODE' which only uses .9KWP also, before i purchased mine, i contacted their customer service (which was knowledgable and friendly) and they also explained that the type of heat this unit produces heats a room evenly - not like a traditional space heater where the heat rises and is wasted in the ceilings - sooo this unit is much more efficient since its climate controlled and doesnt need to run 24/7 I have saved hundreds with my units and wouldnt use anything else!
