Why are people mistaking Muslims as a race? It's something I've noticed.

Because they are ignorant. They just see the people dressed up in their garb on TV and in the street and automatically think Muslim. We have no idea how to tell if they are Palestinian, Arabian, Somalian etc. I just say "Middle eastern" lol.

Yes, you can convert to the Muslim faith, but I'm gonna find it pretty hard to convert to the Asian race or whatever.

This happens due to lack of knowledge, it would be like calling a European Protestant a Protestant which by no means refers to his nationality but to his religion. Best regards.

Yes, I was actually having a conversation with someone the other day and they were telling me about how they are sick of going to a gas station and seeing muslim's running it or owning it, so i kindly reply that muslim is not a race it is a religion and there response was it is? What about when they say there are arabic that is not a race that is the language they speak if i am not mistaken i say this because my friend's husband is morracan his religion is muslim and he speaks arabic. please feel free to correct me if i am wrong

i was just told by someone of Jewish faith that Jewish is a race....I was confused...what if I converted...would I then be part of that race?
