Use... Heat rubs, Warm down after exercise... Cold shower after exercise... Massage after exercise (I like this one best!). Make sure you keep hydrated and intake adequate electrolytes as well (drink a gatorade type drink).

A good rubdown can help sometimes, alot of gyms have maseusses on site so you can get a massage after you work out. But if you're painfully sore after you work out, you might want to ease up a little, don't overwork yourself, make sure you're doing the right ammount of working out for how good of shape you're in, and that you're doing it properly.

Two aspirin 20 minutes before a 20 minute soak in a hot tub of water. It works. i know.

A hot bath with radox or radian B.

You could use products like Icy hot or mineral ice to help soothe tired muscles. Just apply to the sore areas and massage! Make sure you are taking the appropriate warm up and cool down measures before and after exercise. stretch. As tani entioned it is very important to be drinking a sufficient amount of water before, during, and after your work outs. Your muscles need the water to help rebuild. Other weightlifters even recommend taking creatine which helps your muscles rebuild faster by holding the water in your body. I've tried it before and it works, but I wouldn't recommend using it. There are some health risks involved..

COLD SHOWER! it totally works

I like a good massage, and just keeping your muscles relaxed helps, and trying not to use them as much while they are repairing themselves from what you did to them. You should also always stretch before and after you work out to reduce the amount of soreness and also to help prevent an injury to the muscles.

Stretch prior, streth after, don't push yourself too hard (it can do more damage than good!), warm bath, nice massage.
