not only did they get into my lap top, they stole the dang thing. I feel so totally violated. They came into my home and took it. I was just about to publish another cookbook and I dont have the heart to do the work over again! :(

No. Unless they can bypass the BIOS, they will need to guess my password before it even POSTs and gives them a chance to log in to WinXP, which requires another (different) password. It would take more than a common street thug to get in here. If this thing is ever stolen, it'd be a useless hunk of plastic to anyone who isn't *very* tech-savvy.

I've never been that careless to leave my lappy accessible to any second person who sees it.I keep it password protected all the time and the cam records 3 snaps of the person who uses it, incase he/she hacks through. .. It won't take me time to sue the person's a** in such cases.
