  • What a GREAT idea! People who have very little money could use the information to determine if a vet visit was warranted!
  • Sounds like a great idea. More and more people spend a great deal of time and money caring and thinking about their pets. I don't see why not.
  • Probably not, since most pet owners can't adequately diagnosis or observe their pets symptoms. I thought you had a good idea....but I then thought that most pet owners would not know how to "understand" the signals being given by their pet, that something was wrong. Pets can't talk, yet as a pet owner I know first hand when my pet does not feel well. But a vet needs to ask more questions and take routine tests and measurements that most pet owners are not prepared or educated to take or understand. Especially in the early stages of what will soon become an emergency, a vet can save the life of your pet if an early diagnosis is made. Like a dog drinking anti-freeze where the symptoms are masked and come on all of a sudden, you would not want to be sitting on your computer screen looking at webvet.com. You would have a dead dog by the time you answered all of the questions. Animals depend upon their owners for more than food, water and shelter and I believe that should include a call to the vet's office anytime there is a doubt about our pet friends health!
