I would go into your menu and look in the Video section for anything related to Aspect Ration. They will be listed as 4:3, 16:9 etc. It sounds like you have the wrong AR set.
Without googling this particular TV, if it is HD and you have an HD receiver, some HD channels broadcast bordered like that.
(just covering bases here)
I have a RCA tv and the picture is almost squeezed down into like a line in the middle of the screen and the rest is black any ideas?

truflat tv stuck in standby mode someone has to have a solution but turn it on the red standby flashes and then stays red and wont turn on

You're reading RCA model 27V530TYX1 picture on sides is cut off like tv is zoomed in. How can it be fixed?
