Uhm, I shall take a guess: European American is originally from, well, Europe. Using that to mean "white" would be a misnomer because not only Caucasians are from Europe. I could be called "European American" and I am not white (please do not call me that... I cannot keep up with PC'ese). White American would have to reference, well, white Americans only and probably be ALL white people (there are many white heritages). Anglo Americans would logically reference Anglo only, as in the term "anglo/saxon" (using the term for reference only) and leave out a bunch of white folks such as the Celts and those of Saxon heritage. It would also exclude the Norse. Caucasian is, well, Caucasian and all the peoples who originated in the Caucus Mountains. I have never heard the variety of terms you describe. Oh, please, do not tell me that I have to learn more PC terms!

There should be no difference when defining either white or black people. An Americans an American no matter what he's dressed or skinned in.

Why do we have to have so many different definitions. This is like the person earlier who was upset because they were in a country where people called themselves American instead of by their ethnic mixes. As far as I am concerned I do not give a darn about all the silly PC names If it has to be anything other than Black?White/Native American why can it not just be Caucasian, African and Native. It does not have your ethnic mix on your passport and it does not have your religion. It just says you are a Citizen of the United States or a Citizen of the United Kingdom That is all that should matter.

No...same as no difference in African American...american is american...european is european...asian is asian...white , black, yellow...all people just have different cultures...
