  • I don't think they should. But if they do, I'll probably say yes (to be polite) and appreciate it (as it is nice to think of someone else).
  • If the man is able to stand comfortably, I believe he should offer his seat. Of course I would appreciate his kindness and consideration, it would be terribly rude not to thank him. If I were able to stand comfortably, which I am not, I would offer my seat to whomever felt they needed to sit.
  • No, not really unless I had my leg in plaster, or was pregnant or old or loaded up with shopping bags then yes. But if they offered me their place I might take it depending on how far I was going, but I would be very appreciative.
  • I don't expect anyone to give up their seat for me, since I am healthy and perfectly capable of standing. If someone is kind enough to offer their seat to me, I would thank them, and if I was tired, I would sit down. If not tired, I keep standing.
