They say true friends will bail you out. But real friends will join you in. I won't practically. I'll find a way to help him instead. Unless you love being imprisoned.. :)
-
Join them in prison because they are unjustly imprisoned? Hell, no. And I would not expect my best friend to do it for me either. That's just stupid. I can appreciate them just fine from the comfort of my home. I'll be sure to write and send some dollars, but I won't visit and I won't join them. Um, also I don't think you can just check into prison like it's the Ritz...
-
I don't think you can book into a prison the way you can book into a hotel, so it's highly unlikely.
-
HEEEELLL NO! If s/he were a friend, s/he would understand. Is it a foreign prison?
-
No, i would fight the injustice until it was overturned ;0)
-
Join them inside? No way. But I will fight to right the injustice.
-
No. But I'd do my best on the outside to prove his/her innocence. I'd definitely fight for my friend, that's for sure, and I'd do more good on the outside than sitting in a prison cell keeping him company.
-
Screw that!
-
Lordy no! What good could I do sitting beside them?
-
I wouldn't join him inside, but I'd have no problem sprining him
-
No I wouldn't join them in prison. I would visit them.
-
A friend is someone who bails you out of jail but a true friend is one who sits in jail with you and says "damn, that was fun!"
-
Nope. It's not worth my own life. The military wouldn't approve of it either since they pay me.
-
I don't see how both of us being miserable helps my friend...so noooo.
-
The prisons here are a little over crowded, and that would not even be an option. However, my answer would be "Hell No!"
-
I'd stay free and work my ass off to get him out. (new trial, publicity, whatever I could do)
-
What would that accomplish exactly? Wouldn't I serve him/her better by actively pursuing his/her release? That could only be effected if I were out of jail, free of any constraint and doing my utmost to rectify the injustice. Quiety sitting beside my friend in jail as a sign of sympathy doing nothing doesn't seem the best course of action here. :)
-
I probably wouldn't be in the cell with him, but I sure would protest and make a lot of noise!
-
No. I'd free her. I would probably send her a hacksaw baked in a cake. :)
-
My best friend was, but no I wouldn't.
-
No, but I'd do everything in my power to get them a retrial and work an extra job to pay the lawyer if I had to.
-
Visit, means I can leave when I want... and thats what I'm sticking to : )
-
oh, if it was my bff...I would definately join her because she is so much fun....we would rock the joint.
-
Would my joining them in prison help them, I wonder..? Surely they would appreciate my help and respect more if I remained outside and drew attention to the injustice...
-
I think not :{ I would fight to correct the wrong with the system on the outside and visit often, to show my support :)
-
No I'd rather fight for their cause out of prison. Besides.....how could you help them if you were also imprisoned?
-
I don't know what good that would do. Far better to be on the outside and work for their release. The person I respect most in the world was unjustly imprisoned 6 times, the last in the US for 396 days. We never stopped working for his release.
-
Nah. Prison food is rarely good, and they probably wont feed gatecrashers anyway. Also I think I could do more good on the outside, finding out the rights of the matter and getting him freed.
-
No, but I would work my ass off to get her out.
-
Nope! They wouldn't want anyone else to suffer and they'd just be pissed if I did something to get my ass thrown in jail just to keep them company.
-
You know, this is weird but I might. It would give them a shoulder to lean on and give me an experience I hope never to have on my own account.
-
if i could i would
-
No, I am not a Turkish intellectual.
-
No. But I would do all I could to prove that they were innocent.... or just write them a lot.
-
No. What would that solve? Now.... that said.... if she was my girlfriend the might be benefits if we were in the same cell....
-
It would serve no useful purpose to join them in prison but I would try to show more appreciation for them and try to get them aquitted of the wrong doing if at all possible. I couldn't do that sitting in prison. :)
