Have you seen the Max Ernst exhibit at the Menil in Houston,Tx.?

No, but I would have loved to see it. He is one of the great 20th century artists. There was a nice Max Ernst show in Stockholm recently, it will travel to the Louisiana Museum near Kopenhagen soon. Also, I live close to the Max Ernst Museum in Brühl - so I can have my regular dose of Max Ernst!

No I have not, though I travel quite a bit and were I live I have never seen an exhibit with his works as a painter, sculptor or graphic artist. His works don't appeal to me.

I haven't seen one of his exhibits either, but there is one in the city I plan to visit. They will include a film. I'm curious to see how the real paintings look, especially the colors. I'll bet they are so vivid, they will jump out at you! I'm interested in all artists who have great effects in the art world. I feel Ernst is one who affected surrealism and Dada. I think his art is worth exploring. Thanks for your input!+5
