  • If we were talking about the song composed for the Danger Man series released in the U.S. as Secret Agent, I might wax euphoric. That is described on Allmusic.com as a stone classic and sounds fresh to me today after many hearings. Patrick McGoohan's work on that show has etched him in my memory as a sort of ghostly black and white figure, outside my grasp. The show relied on his powerful presence to keep the audience tuned in. I think you had to love enigmatic to love the show and I didn't at the time. I looked at some stills and a bit on Youtube; that reminded me of his stellar good looks. He was on a par in that department with Sean Connery and reportedly was offered the James Bond role at one time. RIP Mr. McGoohan
