Fines, maybe even probation, or tresspassing rules, so you may not be able to go into the store again. I am having a hard time seeing a court date being set without the police involved, but I have not been through this.

I live in Mass too, and I am shocked you were not arrested. Once they set up a hearing date you will be notified. If this is your first offense, you will probably get a fine and probation. Break that probation and you are in deeper trouble. If you already have any kind of record, they bring that up too. Good Luck

i can tell you it will be a long time before you get your court date it was for me

Minor offence and first offence i take it, you will most likly get a fine and maybe community service, the reason they most likly did not arrest you is either (a) first offence or (b) trustworthy enough that you were not going to commit anoughter crime.

at the very most $5,000 fine and 5 years in jail. however you will probly have to appoligize pay off $100 and do community service along with a lifetime ban from the store.

If you were not arrested and the police notified, you will not have a court date. It appears the store personnel was blowing smoke your way. Did you sign a liability release form from the store? For positive information on exactly what to expect, contact your local district attorney and inquire if you do or do not have a court date. never heard of having a court date and not being arrested, by the police.
