the first thing i would change is my socks. after that it's up to the vp.
-
I would re-arm the public and encourage them to demand that the government decrease in size by, oh 90%. When the government no longer is for the people, the people have a responsibility to fix it.
-
pull the troops out of iraq and let the iraq government take care of there city.and problems.
-
It's a toss up for me between getting troops out and getting affordable health care and perscriptions for everyone, much like Canada has.
-
The superbowl would be a national holiday.
-
I would approve Gay Marriage.
-
Sort out the pension mess and try and make many of the major businesses in my country comply in some way to employees penion schemes. I would look into the other end as well that being the schools.
-
legalize it
-
FREE health care and education for ALL LEGAL citizens and guaranteed social security benefits too.
-
The legalization of Marijuana. Not that I am a smoker, but I just know that our judicial system has more to do than penalizing these people for doing something that makes them feel good. I mean alcohol is a terrible thing, but it's legal. I'd make packs of joints and tax them like cigarettes. Think of all that extra money. Think about how much the crime rate would drop, people wouldn't have to buy from the drug lord down the street. I bet if the government did that, they'd put quite a few dealers out of business and help clean up our country. Not to mention all the new room in prison.

Gloat.

I would redo how our tax money is spent. Freeze any money going to other countries until we straighten out our money problems here at home.
-
I would fire everybody, set up statues of me across the country, and set up a dictatorship. Then it would finally matter that I were the President because I would actually have some legitimate power! Just joking. I really don't think that as President I'd have enough power to make some of the changes I'd like to, so I would shut my mouth, smile, and do what few inconsequential things I could while I was in office. I guess if I had to pick something I would make supreme court appointments my focus.
-
I would fight for congress to pass a law making english the official language of the United States and that all immigrants currently here or those who want to come must learn basic communications skills in english within 18 months or face deportation back to their native countires.
-
Write a Presidential Executive Order requiring Congress to buy back the Federal Reserve System and to issue Congressionally approved currency in compliance with the Constitution of the USA. Of course I wouldn't expect to live very long afterwards as the Federal Reserve and the CIA would have me assassinated like they did Kennedy when he did the same thing.
-
Set term limits for Congressman and Senators, make the office of the presidency a one eight-year term, with no possibility to be re-elected, install a Congressional vote of no confidence system, make it illegal for Supreme Court justices to legislate from the bench, eliminate income tax, evict the United Nations and other world organizations that are a threat to national sovereignty, and officially declare that English is the language of the land. If you want specifics on the above, I'm planning on running in 2012...if elections will even be allowed then!

It sucks that you don't have supreme power as president... With the limitations of the job, I suppose the first thing I would do would be to put up a national budget that actually stays within budget while keeping all necessary programs running.
