  • I am currently a college sophomore living in a dorm. My dorm is pretty nice, but it is one of the newest dorms on the campus (13 years old).
  • I've been in a couple dorm rooms and they are kept together very well
  • All college dorms are different. i go to Fairleigh Dickinson univ. in madison, NJ. While some of the dorms are really nice, some can be grundgy and gross. All in all though, they do their purpose and are fun environments to live in. It doesn't help if someone you live next to or share the bathroom with is messy, but for the most party the buildings are put together and pretty nice. I lived in the newest buidling last year, and it is REALLY nice. But there were still some problems with it, like the windows had a gap, and the air didn't work once spring rolled around. But, they were easily fixed by calling maintencne up. So if you think your building is falling apart, it has to meet the standards for dorms in the US, and if there is something wrong don't be afraid to call maintence as soon as you realize it. And, no matter how nice or old it is, keeping it clean and decorated changes the whole environment. Ive been in guys rooms in one of the dorms, and it looks gross and dirty, but their neighbor, who was a girl, their room looked so cute and cozy and clean.
  • Yea, I am living in the dorms of my university. They were not falling apart or anything but they were really small. My roommates and I could not fit all of our stuff in it that's how small it was. We easily got around this by renting a storage unit from http://www.storagedeluxe.com/. We split the rental cost and were able to keep all of our stuff in there making more room in our dorm.
