I have a Canon Pixma MP500 and when printing in B & W, the black seems 2 skip lines. I've changed the ink & done all cleanings but nothing changes. The only time all the black prints properly is when I add color around it. What could be the problem?

  I have a lap top I use at home with a wireless router. I would like to use my cannon pixma 830 that I use with my desktop. Is there a way I can set up my lap top to print from this printer also?
