I think couples that can't ever do their own thing are looking for trouble. They should definitely spend time together, but they should be able to do things by themselves as well.
-
IMO it would quite unhealthy to not have at least some time out w/o your SO always by your side. My DW is an absolute joy to go out with, but a lot of my male friends are not married and a spouse would be a 5th wheel when the guys get together and visa versa for sure.

Not if they just do it once in awhile, space is always good.
-
Not necessarily, you cant spend all your time together you would get bored!
-
People should have time away from one another and spend time together. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
-
Not at all.
-
No. Some people just prefer to go out with other friends as well. I think it gives them this sense of not being tied down.
-
No, not necesarily. Some people have different things they like to do. I guess the thing to watch is where they are on special occasions. My guy likes to do stuff that I don't like that much. So, if he goes out, it is not that big a deal and vice versa. However, if he goes out ALL the time, does not want you to go with him, and does not spend holidays or take you to family stuff, worry...
-
Not neccesarily. Actually its healthiest to have an even distribution between going out on your own with friends and with your significant other. If you are doing everything together, or nothing together though as a couple, then you are in trouble.
-
i used to. until i realized that i felt that way because i didn't trust him, or worse, i never did. with my current s/o, we have independent friends, and mutual friends. we get along with everyone, but still have time to ourselves. i think it's healthy to have independence. For some couples, yes, it certainly can mean things are troublesome, but for others, it is a good thing.

but what if both dont answer their phones while they are out "at night" ??? is it still not ruined?
