  • I'm sure I've seen a similar question to this and the overwhelming view was that anybody other than the President's immediate family receive no income from the state and that they, or the President, would have to pay the living expenses of people outside his immediate family who shared his accommodation. The United States isn't like Britain, with its Civil List.
  • A homey white house in harmony is good for Barack and whether we like it as dems/repubs he's our guy and I support him one hundred % a Repub. By homey I meant feels like Home!
  • The "First Mother-in-Law" is not a paid position. [Neither is the "First Lady," FYI.] Considering the amount of child care that she will provide while the President and First Lady are traveling and attending to the nation's business, in my book, she will more than "earn her keep."
