well immediate liking someone new upon meeting has proved to be QUITE misleading, so i assume the opposite is the same.

The only thing about this phenomenon that makes any sense to me is that something about the person reminds you of someone whom you don't like..you may be unaware of who it is exactly. Also, people do give off certain "vibes" I think..friendly, disapproving, open, happy or closed, bitter, unhappy. Most people prefer being around people who are happy and positive and exude that rather than those who look at life through a glass darkly! :)

When this has happened to me, the dislike I felt has always been justified by this person's later actions.
