Help answer this question below.
yor spark plugs are under the coil pack ontop of the valve cover. remove the bolts holding this down, remove wire harness conn. at your left. carefully lift up coil pack as it connects directly to the plugs (no wires). plugs are well down in so extension is amust for plug wrench.
actually quite simple procedure.
Spark plugs are at the top of every cylinder in a gas engine.
Look for wires on the top of the engine. 2.4L sounds like a 4banger, so there should be 4 wires. If it's a V6, there will be 6 wires. They will all come from the same place and all unplug fairly easily. Usually they are black and rubbery. Remove these wires from the plugs and you will see a little nipple. That's the top of the spark plug.
*note: It's VERY IMPORTANT that you label the spark plug wires before you remove them. If you don't your engine will not run correctly when you re-attach them and may not even start. If you don't know how to do this entire process, ask someone you know who has knowledge of cars, or take it to a shop.
the spark plugs are under the coils on a 2.4 twin cam no plug wires think there are 4 bolts holding down the cover with 2.4 marked on it you will see 4 rubber nipples underneath these have to be pulled off and you will see the plugs hope this helps when reinstalling don't over tighten think its only 13foot pounds of torque on the plugs

most plugs are gapped correctly at factory for newer models

If you are talking about aftermarket replacements then no they aren't. The only instance in which plugs are gapped correctly is the OEM set that comes with the vehicle.
