  • Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands ever, and I've never smoked anything but Salmon.
  • G'day Floydian, Thank you for your question. I used to listen to Pink Floyd and other great rock bands and enjoy it without taking drugs as a teenager. Unfortunately, I am so old that it wasn't classic rock but contemporary rock when I listened to it. It still stands up today no matter what you're on. Indeed, my fellow Australians voted for Dark Side of the Moon as their favourite albuum of all time with Wish You Were Here and The Wall in the top 15 as well as you can see by the link below. • I am 18 years old, I have never smoked pot or cigarettes, drank or done any other drugs. Some of my favorite music is the Beatles and the Eagles.
  • Ive never smoked weed and i still love pink floy..the funny think i was 19 when i saw them in concert last.
  • Nope. I listen to Pink Floyd and I only do acid. Just kidding! But I do listen to Pink Floyd (and maintain a drug free experience. =P) (...oh yeah, and other classic rock, too. I seemed to have missed that part of the question.)
  • Yeah, 19 seems to be the magical age for this question. I was 19 when I saw Floyd live and I love classic rock. You will worry less and less about being the "only non-pot smoker" as you get older. You will find there are all kinds of people who share your interests.
  • Are you kidding? I was there when they got started, I never did drugs (in my teens then)...although everyone around me did... and I STILL loved Pink Floyd! There are still some outstanding musicians producing music here in California, and I suggest you check out http://studiowezt.com Dennis Wilkinson is one of them! (go to all 3 pages as he has songs on each). Keep checking back on his site, as he adds stuff frequently and all of it is just plain GREAT. Hang in there... you aren't alone!
  • Back when Pink Floyd was first popular, drugs were a part of the "total listening experience." But now that good music is so hard to find, I believe that young people today are discovering some of these great bands and appreciating the talent and creativity that went in to the music. And it doesn't reqire drugs to appreciate good music of any sort. In fact, if you listen restfully and carefully, a lot of the music itself can provide a certain euphoria!
  • I loved Pink Floyd when I was younger... I hate pot... But I did do acid to the music and probably why the Wizard of Oz made since with the Dark Side of the Moon album...
  • i smoke CONSTANTLY and don't ever listen to classic rock. strictly reggae and mexicana.
  • I love classic rock, modern rock and metal and have never done any kind of drugs, nor will I ever try it. I hate drugs. I have tried smoking regular tobacco once but I doubt I will do it again. I know what you mean, that music scene seems to have a lot of association to pot. I am also 19 btw
  • i like classic rock ..cant go wrong with Lynard Skynard playin
  • ...I dont see why not. Everyone loves alittle Pink. They got a good message, and the dude was a musical genius. It takes a real bore to not like the stuff. You dont havta smoke pot, or shoot up...to understand what he speaks of. Of course they did, but still... Naw. Thats silly.
  • You aren't. Lot's of people don't bother messing around with Pot. Methamphetamine is good for highs and Heroin is good for lows. You might take Ecstasy at a rave. The only reason to smoke pot is if you are a loser who wants to work in the pizza industry.
  • naaw i love clasic rock but i hate drugs
