This is what he is expected to say to get the money he needs and it makes sense to me: "It is true that we cannot depend on government alone to create jobs or long-term growth, but at this particular moment, only government can provide the short-term boost necessary to lift us from a recession this deep and severe."

The bigger question is how come none of these mind readers use their amazing skills to better the world? Posting their "vast knowledge" of what they magically pulled from Obama's thoughts is a total waste of talent. How the hell can anyone answer what someone else is thinking? hate can be so damn illogical.

I doubt he thinks that...in reality...but he's a politician and is responding to the millions and millions of people who think "the Government" is the cure-all...when it's "the Government" (i.e., politicians) that is actually the disease.
