That's a tricky one!! When I was at school, my and my bestfriend ended up dating for a little while, and he told me he loved me but I think I was with him more to get over someone else (I'm not proud of the fact), but in the end, I broke it off with him and we were never the same friends again, which I found to be the hardest part. That's the thing with your best friends, you should never date them or muck around with those sorts of feelings because it can all blow up in your face without you realising until it's too late. On the other hand though, I had a really bad break up with my ex, and I ended up getting into a relatonship with one of my best male friends, and we're still together now, after 4 1/2 years - so on the other hand, it really can work out. I think the best thing to do is tell him exactly how you feel, don't muck him around (and he'll know because if you're good mates, friends know when you're lying or not being truthful with things) if you want to be with him, then do so, and if not, cut it off nw and try and save the frienship/ Hope that helped you out abit? Goodluck! that stuff is so tricky!
