How about Zombies who find a potion that returns them to life? Then, you could have conflict with the ex-Zombies and the current Zombies who embrace their Zombie-ness and think that to deny your Zombie-ism is not PC.

Girl meets guy, zombie kills girl, girl becomes zombie, guy finds zombie girlfriend and tries to bring her back to life, girl zombie kills guy. Needs work, I know.

I'd love to see a zombie movie set in the middle ages or something like that, and like, have a tribe of Vikings fighting off century old animated warrior corpses, and slowly getting infected themselves. Or like, lol a rendition of the tale of King Arthur, but with zombies. :D Hand to hand melee gore with swords and arrows and war hammers, what's not to like?

yes dead people come to life and try to kill living people and eat their brains. The twist is that all the zombies are really fat. I call it attack of the really fat zombies- its a million dollar idea.
