I think it's a societal issue. So much emphasis and importance has been placed on female physical beauty that they feel compelled to do so.

It's different for each women, and if your not one, why do you care? It's our bodies, why act like it yours? Why judge them, when you haven't walked a mile in their shoes? Better yet, why do people in other countries judge us Americans? I don't you.

To think, many women would be more secure with their looks if plastic surgery wasn't an option. As it stands, changes in appearance CAN be made, and with the options available, certain women can remain insecure because they have the choice.

They want to look good/better, maintain their appearance, look younger or all of the above. I don't think that people who get plastic surgery are, by definition, insecure.

I think its more like Los Angeles/California women I don't think its gone that national yet. Has it? I dont know. to answer your question....probably because men look at playboy and then the wives feel bad and want to look like what their husbands want. *total guess I have no idea

because American magazines say you have to be a size 2 with big boobs to be beautiful. and American men dont help the fact that they lust over size 2 women. ladies, be yourself! love who you are! be confident whether you are a size 2,12, or 20! you will find a man who isnt a pig who will love you for who you are not what you look like.

Because in this country. Advertising controlls the mindset of the populace. And advertising sells products to people for too much money for things they dont really need by creating an image that is copecetic with these products. Television... That's why!

Are they? I don't know because I don't live in the USA. Never the less some ladies at a world wide level use plastic surgery to correct some issues that bother them. I personally don't see anything wrong with it. Regards.

Media, and because they think guys like it, when actually a man like more natural women, I think breasts that stand up straight are gross.

because we live in a superficial society where everyone is judged and treated according to how they look, and to deny that point is pure naïveté.
