    I was one once...in the 60's. It was fun and life seemed alot easier then. (and not because I was high all the time). I miss the music and the attitude and the easier times then, aside from the war in Viet Nam (which I protested).

    'Hippies' is the name given to a specific counter-culture prevalent especially in the 1960s. The main features are : long hair, jeans, beads, hallucinogenic drugs and a rejection of 'conventional' values. The conventional values were, in particular, political, social and sexual mores.
