If they chose to be friends with me in the first place that would have to be a sign of hope. I am of mixed race. Irish & French/Cree (metis), Spanish & English; German/Irish & English. I was born in Oz. We all have melanin in our skin which is what gives the colour. Some of us just have more than others. I have light skin, blue eyes & bleached blonde hair. Bleached because my hair has changed from medium brown to grey & the contrast with new growth is a little less noticeable. Also less harsh with the wrinkles starting to appear. Does my appearance affect who I am as a person. Not at all. I choose to be who I choose to be. I am against bad behaviour. You can find that in any race. I would hope that I could help the person understand that if they had sort of reasoning ability within them & were willing to listen to reason. I don't see the point in being racist.

I wouldn't date a person of a different race from mine, but I have very good friends of more than one race. * Now, does that make me a racist? I don't think so. And I don't see what hate has to do with racism.

I am from a small town in the south... i have had racist friends and still have a few. But they aren't people I spend alot of time esp if they start being hateful..It rubs me the wrong way and I hate to see them be full of hatred though..a person full of hate can't be too happy and doesn't leave much room for the better emotions
