Good for him! I think a lot of pressure goes with that $1 million per week - he is supposed to put soccer on the same level of popularity in the US as basketball, American football and baseball. I wish him the best.

I don't have an opinion on it, but I have an intense feeling of jealousy!! I just spent the last half hour outside, furiously kicking a soccer ball against the house in a futile attempt at becoming an international soccer- (sorry I meant to say football) star.....the cruel laughter of my neighbours put an end to that dream though!!

No problem as long as someone else is paying. The law of supply and demand dictates what folks make. He obviously generates enough income for his employers to justify such an "obscene" salary. It won't be forever. I love to see people being successful. Hopefully he will manage his money well, put it to work productively, and be generous with it.
