  • Depends on what 'it' is. You have to take into account all the variables and calculate the odds of 'it' happening the amount of times it has happened. Past a certain point, the odds will seem too unlikely, and a coincidence becomes less likely too; this means you haven't factored in a certain variable, whether that's due to an unknown outside influence, or you calculating things erroneously.
  • There's a song, I believe from "The King and I" where the woman sings "you fly down the street on the chance you will meet and you meet, not really by chance." When you get a situation that happens more than once or is a really long shot, it probably isn't coincidence.
