Did you know that you can only give a certain member a certain amount of positive ratings in a week? What if you like their answers?

Yeah, I did know. However the amount you can give has actually increased a lot, it used to be much smaller. The system does seem unfair sometimes, especially if somebody is writing great answers, but you have to remember that if the ratings limits weren't there, trolls could rate their own sock puppets up as much as they liked, and cause chaos.

Yes I did. I hit the limit all the time. If you like the answers, you still can't rate them up until the next week.

I didn't know until I got the message when I tried to rate some answers!
