I know that I really like this guy once. I REALLY liked him and was totally attracted to him. I wanted him really bad. However, I had this feeling in the pit of my stomach that he was attracted to me, but if I gave him a chance, he would use me. So, I acted like I didn't like him. Even when my friends saw me together with him, they were like "You like this guy?" You sure don't act like it. And, I had the biggest crush. They may act mean because they like you but are afraid. But, sometime a girl may just not like you too!

I think you want to push a person's buttons to see how they react to certain things. Women want a man with a sense of humor and if a guy reacts well to "mean" treatment, then they might be good boyfriend material.

they are scared to show their weak/romantic/vulnerable side. i notice that i am tougher on boys i like than on my other male friends---without meaning to be. the reason? pretending to be angry is easier for me than to let him/everyone see me blush when he enters the room.
