Toyota Corolla 2006, how do I change the water pump? Is it a do-it-yourself-job or do I need to take it to the shop?

Yes you can do it. Locate the pump by following the hoses that come from the radiater. Drain the coolent out and remove the hoses from the pump. Remove the bolts holding it on and remove the old one. Clean the gasket mounting place and use a new gasket. Bolt the new one on and replace the hoses. Refill and check for leaks. Good Luck

It appears that the water pump is driven by the timing belt on your Corolla. That being the case, I would recommend against doing it yourself. Good luck.
