You have to give your new puppy time to adjust, all he/she knows is where it used to live with mom or siblings. right now is a very important time in training and bonding with your dog. especially the breed that you picked out. its not really abnormal with puppys to be scared or shy at first.what i would do is spend time on the floor with your dog with some small soft treats, not very many you dont want its tummy to get bloated. or even just use puppy kibble. Let it cuddle and get to know who you are. Have some toys and try to get the puppy to play. they will eventually get the idea that you are cool and the house is a safe place. its also a good time to teach puppy its name or at least introduce the name and how it sounds.A good time to establish dominance with the puppy as well. very important with your breed. pretend to eat the treats before giving to the puppy, only do that after the puppy is confidently taking the treats from your hand. in dog pack order the alpha leader eats before everyone else and well so should you. it may sound silly but it works.Good luck and i hope you have fun with your new dog :)
