When I was in HS, I thought that only geeks played Rp games, until My Boyfriend bout WoW, now Im hooked on it.
-
Yo man im into any final fantasy game but mostley i play old school Dungeons and Dragons you know pencil, paper, a Dungeon Master, good friends, and good times. Thats what RPG's are about i think somewhere along the line you guys forgot about that(shedding a tear).
-
The SIMS 2, without a doubt. Very addictive I feel, specially since you can create your character from a child and watch them age and control everything that happens. I have SIMS University, which is hilarious to me since I have created my friends and their living arrangements identical to what they actually are. My boyfriend even proposed to me in the SIMS... ...now if I could only get him to do that in real life... ;)

RIFTS
-
All time favorite: Diablo...tried Titan Quest, didn't get me hooked. now I play Oblivion, which is great. stunning graphic, great story...love it.

I have to admit that I miss the days of the text games. I loved Zork. It really made me think, put there and I really, really had to figure out what I would do next. It's different being able to SEE everything and not activate your brain in that spot like Zork did. And Zork was truly HARD! New games I prefer ones where I don't have to hack and slash everything in sight to raise a level or gain a power. I like games where thinking is required in bucketloads.

AD&D
-
Paranoia and all time classic D&D.
-
I spent over 10 years (1983 - 1994) playing Runequest, both 2nd edition and a combination of 2nd and 3rd edition rules.
-
Zork....all text. Really made my mind work.
-
RIFTS (Palladium)

When I was in grade school,I used to create my own mazes and maps and I used to have my brother and friends play a D&D type game all of my own creation. Obviously it wasn't as intricate as the real thing since it was all of my own synthesis but it was fun none-the-less.
-
My personal favorite RPG ever is Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars because it was fun to play had a great little spin off to the mario world and it had a lot of great humor and little extras in the game plus it was easy to beat and could be really hard if you wanted it to be.
-
The Elder Scrolls Series. I never knew I could be in love with a game. Hehe, I just go around and steal EVERYTHING! I would never do in real life but i can in this. amazing. genius. (yes i am easily impressed!!) xx

I have a lot of favorite RPGs, but the my top would either be Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 or the Final Fantasy series.
-
The Final Fantasy series absolutely rules the RPG genre of video games. No doubt about that.. But my favorite has to be Final Fantasy 7! The storyline is amazing even if the graphics were a bit etchy.
-
Mine is basically like Zmee789, but i hated the second Elder Scrolls game. Oblivion for my PS3 on the other hand, still keeps me playing until 6 in the morning!!
-
Shadow Hearts
-
GURPS. Just so you know, I do not consider console/PC games to be RPGs. Therein lie some semantic issues.
-
World of Warcraft babayyy
-
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons or an old LOTR RPG from the 70's my fiancee has... I can't remember what it's called at the moment.
-
Diablo 2 Lord of destruction on battle.net useast zealot during patch 1.09
-
Using the rules from Hero System, I enjoy Fantasy Hero for table-top role-playing. It uses 3d6 for skills, so a bell curve applies, instead of a straight chart. It is a point-based game, and it really lets you make any character you want. I've seen anything from prodigy children to intelligent rings.
-

Paranoia... The computer is my friend.
-
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, First Edition. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it.)

Call of C'thulu. IT was an old pencil and paper RPG, complex and fun, yet so easy to go insane.

I'm big on RPG's and I loved FF8. Mainly for the characters and the setting it had. The story was good too but towards the end it was based alot more on romance, which I was still really into. I'm a hopeless romantic. lol
