My daughter's boyfriend got a pair of white patent leather slip-on shoes( you know, the kind that cousin Eddie in the movie Christmas Vacation wears.) I have no idea what he did with them. I got the most useless and ugly knick-nack that was a ceramic victorian shoe with sequins, and ribbon,etc. on it. I plan on giving it to someone else next year. Hope it will become a "tradition". Giving more of these "white elephant" gifts is a really good idea instead of spending all the money and getting all the stress over finding something for someone who already has everything they need. This also lets you eliminate some of the commercialism the season is famous for.
