No I do not think so. As an Indian, ppl think if someone sneeze before you start a good work, it will turn bad. I did lot of search about it and one of the reason I found was sneeze was mostly related being sick and that is how ppl started to believe. The other superstition we have is black cat crossing your path. What I can think is the cats have very strong sense to life and death and I have heard myself many times dogs and cats come outside the house where someone is very sick and is dying. Thus crossing the path by cat was considered bad omen. There are so many from Asian countries, but I can hardly corelate it to any truth.
