This question did not last 5 seconds on the main page. So I posted this to get it back up.

You are pretty much being what is called a good girl/ nice boy (stage 2 in Lawrence Kohl bergs stages of moral development), talking like everyone else talks because well everyone else does, dressing like everyone else, you are doing these things not because you really like doing these things, and not really because it's a law, but because this is what is expected of you from other people. Another good example is common courtesy( opening the door for other people),if you don't do these types of things people will usually think you are not a polite person.

Good tough question. There are so many unwritten rules that it would be very difficult to list even half of them. Some are cultural. Some are custom. Some are traditional. Some are bad and some are good. If you move to another country or society the unwritten rules change. To conform to the unwritten rules means to be responsible and respectful towards others. It means to understand their importance and significance to others and honor them accordingly. Its not something that is expected of a child; but is expected of from young adults. Thanks for this question.
