  • SOME wine gets "better" with age because it undergoes chemical changes that enhance qualities we deem desireable (like aroma and body)while diminishing characteristics that we find displeasing (like high acidity or an excess of tannins). Not all wines do well with aging though. There are some distilled spirits that age well, depending on how they are stored before bottling. Whiskeys (Scotch, Bourbon, Irish) and Brandies often benefit from barrel or cask aging as well.
  • I think people get better with age. I sure did!
