Your life is half over I am 40 so this an observation based on experience.

grandchildren. no children of your own. your house is paid off. you get to drink beer till the cows come home[lol] you are wise, you know everythink there is to know about life 1. put God first and 2. HAVE FUN. YOU FEEL less stressed.

More confidence than you've ever had before. You know you don't have to answer to anyone but yourself. Can choose to be more independent than you've ever been before. Have more logic than you've ever had before. Not so hormonally driven, so perhaps better choices in opposite sex. Don't have to support anyone else unless you choose to. All in all, it's becoming the best time of your life!!!
