Honestly you need to find an exercise that for you, really makes that area feel worked out. For some it's running, others sit-ups. Some guys I know just do pull-ups and get an arm/abdomin work out. The only thing I do is walk/run and practice martial arts. The various exercies there pretty much take care of it. Hope this helped! :p

Sit ups everyday can make a difference.

You can't really lose targeted fat. You can do strengthening exercises and improve your muscle tone underneath the fat layer, but you will need to go on a weight loss program to lose fat from your whole body to take the fat off of the same area.

Unfortunately you can't spot reduce fat. Fat is taken off in the reverse order it goes on. For you, fat must have deposited to your tummy first, meaning you will need to reduce all other body fat before you start to see the tummy shrink. You can, however, do exercises to strengthen the entire core region, which helps give a flatter tummy while you lose the fat. Pilates is the best core program and you will see results--after three kids, I did!

Which exercises are you already doing?
