Ask the person who likes you the least. Then go with the opposite. ;) On a serious note, if you're buying jewelry, ask the jeweler. Look at it in the mirror, against your skin. Personally, silver looks better on me. Gold blends in to my skin tone, rather than showing to it's best against me. Ask your significant other, if you have one, or your best friend, to go with you when you shop and ask their opinion. Often, jewelry stores have both gold and white gold versions of things, so you can look at the same setting in both color choices to make your decision. Also, which do you like best?

If your skinned in tanned with good exposure to the Sun then Yellow Gold jewelery will look nice on you. If you are not the outdoor type and has a very white complexion then Platinum, White Gold and Silver jewelery will look better. Darker the complexion Yellower the jewelery - thats the thump rule.
