I used to think so, but I realize that perception is everything, and that you see what you want to see. Reprogram your eyes and realize the prize of life.
-
No I think they did very well by me. I was very lucky.
-
Yes, miserably. However, I failed me longer than they did. I had to accept personal responsibility for what was wrong in my life. If you look long enough at any human being, you will notice something ugly. Parents are no different.
-
I had awesome parents, i didn't like them growing up, but now think they were pretty smart.
-
Not at all. My parents were not perfect of course but I think they did an incredible job. I'm happy with the way I am. :-)
-
My father failed me, he never did the things a father should do with his sons, such as: Fishing, hunting (Or at least teaching how to shoot a gun), going to the beach, and all the other things there are.
-
I failed my mother! Dad died when I was seven so I won't count him.
-
Absolutely in every way.
-
whose didnt. pretty much all parents let their children down.
-
They probably did their best. But, I think they could have been more involved and interested in my life when I was growing up.
-
Mine allways did their best and im very close to them now still and we are a very close family, but my mam had a lot of mental health problems and my mam and dad used to row too much and the atmosphere was rarely upbeat at home and my parents put a lot of pressure on me to mature and get an education and when i didnt meet expectations at school they got bogged down and i thought i was the cause, it did the opposite and when i left home i went crazy and didnt care about responsiblity and wanted to party and take drugs, im 24 now and just started to calm down and grow up lol

My parents did not prepare me for maturity by a long shot, but they tried to impart all they had. Much much later I sadly realized they were not at all prepared themselves, and couldnt possibly have been up to the job that my brother and I presented. They basically did the best they could, at the time, with what they had.
