What unnecessary items did you buy during a trip (because those selling them were really persistent and aggressive)?

were you talking about cambodia when you asked this question doggie? those kids are really aggressive arent they??? i ended up buying gifts for friends from a lot of those little beggars in cambodia ~ bamboo flutes, postcards, etc. they mob you sometimes and they hound you and wont leave you alone until you buy something from one of them.

batteries,,, I felt stupid for buying the rechargeable ones after the third recharge... buying new ones in a fix for a test :(

I didn't buy anything I didn't want to buy. We had a guide in Fez, Morocco who we paid well. He tried to steer us to his friends to buy carpets but we didn't tumble. He was disappointed but we didn't want a carpet.
