some people like to work out when they wake up instead of eating breakfast to burn extra fat, but other than that i cant see any desired result from it.

... starving, NO ... but a short fast of maybe a day or two every month is good.

Starving yourself is not a good idea, ever. :)

Fasting is a good way to purge the body of toxins and gain control over basic instincts. Be sure to research how to fast properly before doing it.
