Neither. They both were weak deluded ass holes that weren't even enjoyable to kill! I believe they are some of the weaker boss battles in videogames, but the scarab was pretty badass and still is.

Gravemind is more devious then Truth considering Truth had started to believe his own nonsense about "going on the journey" to the forerunners. If you haven't, I'd suggest reading the books that goes along with games, they are quite informattive. I still think the hardest part of the game was that bunker with the Chieftain brute and the other brutes...ugh

gravemind is far more dangerous than some preachy zealot. the gravemind has absolute control over his minions which do his will without thought, and evemy combatants are quickly converted. the prophet of truth not only has only the limited obedience of faith, but lacks a telepathic link to his soldiers. also he must not contradict the faith in his commands.
