Is there a place I can go where modern society doesn't exist? Ideally I'd like to live some place where I can build my own shelter, hunt for my own food, and possibly trade with others doing the same. A place where there is no work week or money.

oh my god....that sounds great!! I daydream about that as well...Like living on some island in a small but comfortable place, maybe making pots or something and selling them to tourists..just a simple life where possessions aren't as important, and i can just enjoy life without so many worries... BUT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, NO I DON'T KNOW OF ANY PLACE LIKE THAT BUT IT SURE WOULD BE A DREAM COME TRUE. GOOD LUCK.

Im not quite sure why you want to get away from these things. It should be relatively easy in small towns and countryside to work your own hours and barter the goods you produce in exchange for raw materials, food and maybe even shelter. Id suggest spending some time figuring out exactly what it is about your current or forseeable lifestyle that makes you want to leave it. Maybe you specifically dont like doing work that doesnt have an immediate or direct benefit to yourself?

Well, u wanna go to a place where the government doesn't own or which doesn't actually have very much human life such as Antartica. Jungles and forests could be your choices but there has to be no government being in charge of it and there should be wood and food.
