That's why the call for "Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys" is so important. It will save pain and heartache down the road.
-
they were deranged to begin with, lol
-
yes along with that orange juice man who got canned because he couldn't concentrete-lol

Unless we can spur them on. (Sorry, I just can't help it sometimes.)
-
Honestly, I have never met a retired cowboy. I don't think they ever really retire!
-
Now they are rocker jockeys!
-
Not too sure but they could start out de-ranged and retire when cowed.
-
That's a "Spur-Of-The-Moment" thing.
-
No, but they are glad to be "back in the saddle again". (you know, that old cowboy song)

We have good friends in Wyoming (lived there for high school) that have about an 80,000 acre ranch. From what I saw none of them "officially" retired. The just start spending more and more time in town and only come out to the ranch when it's a big event (branding, sheering, calving, etc.). The "retired" guys didn't do much more than lean on the fence, smoke and eat.. but they were there! :D as a side note, if you ever get a chance to go branding/sheering you should do it. It's the dirtiest experience ever, but I can say that I've wrestled a cow to the ground. How cool is that? :D It's just a great experience.

They are put out to pasture :p

Not positive but I have heard they 'wrangle' a lot
