  • Before i answer your question i need to know if you have any background in biology, just so i know how technical to get.
  • Some organisms are capable of absorbing energy from sunlight and using it to produce sugar and other organic compounds such as lipids and proteins. The sugars are then used to provide energy for the organism. This process, called photosynthesis, is used by plants and some protists, bacteria, and blue-green algae. 6CO2 + 12H2O + light → C6H12O6 + 6O2 + 6H2O
  • Small factories in the rain forest... they sell it on the world market as part of their plan for world domination. The plan hasn't gotten very far. It's not really that good a plan, but pretty clever considering they're plants.
  • They produce it through a photochemical reaction using chlorophyll, water and CO2. Sugar is a very good chemical means of storing and distributing energy. Dissolved in water, it easily flows through the circulatory system to be used by any part of the plant that needs it.
