Not really. Part of the reason you need daily vegetables is for the nutrients in them. For that, V-8 works just fine (although, the nutrients are going to be better in fresh vegetables rather than canned juice). The other thing we get from vegetables is fiber. Any vegetable juice has lost most of the fiber we need. V-8 also adds a fair amount of sodium. Other vegetable juices may do so as well (check the label), so you need to be careful.

well, if that is the only way possible for you to get your daily veggies in, then go for it. if you could eat fresh fruits/veggies, then eat that first. but i like V-8. i think eating that WITH your veggies and fruit is an even BETTER idea..

V-8 is good ; but high in sodium ... just try to get the low sodium type .... Note; that the regular veggies are better for you, though ... +5

When I'm feeling rough in the morning I'm all about a bloody mary. Not sure if it's the vodka or the veggies but either way it's a good way to start a day off.

Low salt content veggie drinks are a great way to get your daily intake of your requirements, they often contain more than so called fresh Veggies that may have been in cool/cold storage for up to 12 months... in fact the latest reports here in Australia show in 85% of cases there is no different in goodness between fresh and canned/frozen packets of Veggies and in 15% they were much better than so called fresh Veggies

That's what all the advertisements say. But those things are pretty diluted, no? So who really knows where the exact truth may lie in a situation like this, where the very 'few' control the opinions, thoughts and very juice-drinking lives of the 'many'? ;-)
