    Yes,I got the basic package, but includes a cellular back up.. It was an awsome deal too..for the complete system, I signed a contract to keep there ad. sign in my front yard for 3 years, all equipment an installation was free.. An I pay for the monthly monitoring fee, which is like $50 us. Also a home security system will lower your deductable an over insurance payment, an raise property value.

    I got mine online. It's a DYI system, but saves me hundreds every year. I use my PC to monitor it, and when the motion sensing cameras detect movement, they upload the photos to an remote site. It also sends the pic to my cell phone.

    A shotgun near the bed also helps me sleep at night.

    Yup. Fire, glass breakage, sump pump alarm, all report to a central station. Not that I place a lot of faith in it--hope I never have to find out the hard way though.
