I have a single chest hair and single eyebrow hair that consistently grows twice the rate and length of its peers. What causes this?

    It's just an overactive hair root bulb. It's an anomaly, a small variant in your genetic makeup, like a burb or a hiccup in your body's constant growth. This most often results with age. I got one in my eyebrow pretty soon after turning 30. It happens to a lot of people and is really nothing to worry about. :)

    I think it is just individual differences in your hair growing follicles, some may just be more active follicles than others due to natural variance. I am sure this is normal (some of my hairs grow faster than others).
